States / Uniform Dynamics

Body

1. Breathe in, breathe out. Think about the first of the four states: uniform dynamics.

2. To experience, focus on your breath. Inhale as you count up to 4. Hold your breath for 4 counts. Exhale on 4 counts. Hold your breath on 4 counts. Repeat several times.  This breath, just like a normal one has a rhythm, but also some kind of stillness and focus in it. It is repetitive and almost square and it is what keeps your system stable. Concentrate on your stomach or chest expanding and contracting again. Observing it for a few cycles. Finding stability and rest in this steady rhythm. Repetitive oscillatory movement or complete stillness. You can also do this same thing but without the breath holds and inhaling / exhaling quickly and shallow for a few seconds. This is regenerative breathing.

3. The uniform dynamics is based on repetitive action or stillness. This means that a change is present, but it is more or less the same or close to none.

4. A techno track will be uniform, but also your dance to it, running on a treadmill, doing something over and over again, a regular daily practice, propagation of rumors in hyperconnected communities in waves, full immobility, or random white noise fluctuations.

5. Well-suited for a directed, sustained, and short-lived effort as well as regeneration and rest.

Cognition

0. Start with the white noise, nothing, zero, emptiness, randomness.

1. Begin with a new thought, give it a concrete shape, focus on a specific idea.

2. Hold that thought, repeat it, reiterate it, almost like a mantra, let it solidify.

3. High level of bias that’s needed to give something energy to grow.

4. Germinating the seed, letting the sprouts come out.

5. Pretend like nothing else exists (just for a moment).
