EightOS is a body-mind operating system. During our session at Galerie Wedding, we will propose interactive exercises that fuse movement practices, nonlinear systems science, and martial arts. Using the physical movement, we will focus on the variability of collective movement as a tool for modulating diversity within public space. We will explore the aesthetic and ethical implications of this approach. We will also look for analogies to apply the embodied understanding of intersubjective dynamics beyond the physical context.
This EightOS session will be a precursor to a 1-month EightOS residency hosted at Galerie Wedding in October 2021. We will explore how embodied variability can modulate the dynamics of diversity and its impacts on the social ecology of the private and public spheres.
