∞OS: Implementation of Wave Dynamics Principles into Everyday Life

October 12, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

∞OS (eightos) – is an operating system for the bodymind. Its task is to supply operational support for human activity and practice and to enhance our interactions with our environment.

This practice is based on combining Systema Russian martial art, Noguchi Taiso Japanese body work, Vipassana meditation and other techniques. The body is shifted into the natural work mode, which is based on wave-like and spiral movement (hence the 8 in the name of the practice). Working with other people we test and practice various patterns of behavior and interaction. We discover how we can use the principles to direct energy flows to increase adaptive potential and resilience, to dissipate excessive tension and stress and to enhance creative activity.

One of the main aspects of ∞OS methodology is to use physical movement as a way to implement new behavioural patterns (software) into our bodymind (hardware). We can then use those patterns in any context: not only when we work and train, but also when we go about our daily life, communicate or work. In this sense the training itself is designed in such as a way as to transform our attitude towards physical practices as something that can be used for self cultivation and actualization not only within the limits of the practice, but also outside of it.

The workshop will last for 2 hours. Everyone is invited. We recommend to wear comfortable clothes that feels good to move.
